Internal Family Systems: R. Hutcheson, M.A., received training and supervision in the Internal Family Systems Model by Richard Schwartz, Ph.D., founder and author. As one of his earliest students, she has utilized the model for 23 years. This is now being recognized as one of the cutting edge methods of psychotherapy. She was supervised and trained directly by Dr. Schwartz who has referred to her.

Neurolinguistic Programming and Ericksonian Hypnosis: R. Hutcheson, M.A.. has studied with respected author Stephen Gilligan, who was a protege of Dr. Milton Erickson. Steven Gilligan stated that R,. Hutcheson was "exceptionally gifted" in Clinical Hypnosis. R. Hutcheson was certifed in Clinical Hypnosis by the most respected professional clinical hypnosis group|: the Amercian |Society of Clinical Hypnosis. She was the first Master's level therapist to be admitted to the professional organization, previously designated only for physicians and doctoral level psychologists, because she had been invited to train the doctoral students.

Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy/Rational Emotive Therapy: R. Hutcheson, M.A., has studied with Dr. Albert Ellis, the founder of Rational Emotive Therapy and Dr. David Burns, leading cognitive/behavioral therapist and best-selling author.

Sexual dysfunction training: R. Hutcheson, M.A., trainded and practiced psychotherapy under the supervision of Dr. Domeena Renshaw, author of Seven Weeks to Better Sex at Loyola Medical Center. Dr. Renshaw wrote on her evaluation that R. Hutcheson was "earnest, hardworking and very mature" and invited R. Hutcheson's successfully treated couple to appear on television to share their success story with R. Hutcheson, after failing in therapy on two previous occasions, with two different therapists.

Mindfulness-based therapies, such as ACT and DBT: R. Hutcheson, M.A., has been a practitioner of Mindfulness Meditation for 35 years. She has participaited in workshops with leaders in the field such as Jack Kornfield, Ph.D., Thich Nhat Hahn, Steven Hayes, etc.
